Writers Notes: Hello, and welcome to the first installment of The Twin Souls Project. I guess this is a dream come true for me and my brother. My brother, Patrick, has had this in his head for quite some time now and has asked me to write it out for him. So, I suppose its time for a basic story overview: Our protagonists, Sasuke Takahashi and Alex Williams, are Demi-Humans, a newly found species that somehow evolved from humans who have powers such as the ability to create a pure energy and use it as a blast. All Demi-Humans are required to join the WDHDS(World Demi-Human Defense Squad) for a set amount of time to show their loyalty to their species and leader, the man who set up the WDHDS and is the leader of the World Demi-Human Alliance(and Alexs brother too!), Riku Williams. However, neither Sasuke nor Alex are interested in joining this Human-hating group. So, they went AWOL. This causes an uproar because no one has ever left. So, Riku makes a huge deal of this because not only have two Demi-Humans betrayed their species, but his brother Alex is one of them! When theyre not on the run, they spend their time in Tokyo, Japan. Morgans Bar in Tokyo to be precise. And, we when arent drinking, they get their Munny(the Currency: Munny/i) through being Bounty Hunters extraordinaire! We catch up with our heroes as they are being chased through space.... Project one:Chapter one: Alex: Move it Sasuke!!!! Sasuke: Shut up kid or you'll be floating home! Alex: No Star Wars at a time like this! *Alex and Sasuke are being chased by a WDHDS(World Demi-Human Deforce Squad) Team through outer-space, dodging newly built space-colonies inhabited by humans.* Alex: Watch it!!! *Sasuke dodges a colony just in time.* *Alex freaks* Sasuke: Cool your jets, kid! I'll get us home, safe and sound. Alex: *meekly and still freaking out* Forgive me if I'm a little more than skeptical... *More of Alex and Sasuke dodging and distroying WDHDS ships.* Sasuke: Man, theres no end to 'em! *Sasuke manages to pull away and dive right for the Earth.* Alex: AHHH!!! Sasuke: Don't worry, most of those little ships can't take the heat. *Many of the WDHDS ships following a strait dive bomb, but most burn up in the atmosphere. The rest pull away after a bit.* Sasuke: *Picture of the ship going home* See? What did I tell you?* Sasuke: Home again, home again. Alex: This is Morgans Bar.... Sasuke: Same diff, right? *Scene to a bar room(inside Morgans bar) where people are drinking and laughing and playing pool. Suddenly, the door is smashed open and two dark figures stand in the door way holding guns.* One yells: Awright! Put yer hands up! Give us all yer munny! *All the people in the bar begin to worry when the two figures step into light, revealing themselves as Sasuke and Alex with big grins on their faces.* Man 1: Don't do that you two! Nearly gave me a heart attack! Alex: Aww don't wet yourself, old man! *Sasuke and Alex walk up to the bar and Sasuke look at the Bar-keep.* Sasuke: Uremetsi, gemme a beer, would ya? Alex: *With a large grin* One here too! Uremetsi: You're under age. Think that'll ever work? Alex: *sad* No.... Uremetsi: And anyway, I shouldnt give you two anything until you pay your tab! Dont you get munny from that apartment you own(Note: Sasuke and Alex own an apartment complex in which they live.)? Sasuke: What? You mean that run down shanty hole that we spend all the munny on repairing? Uremetsi: Yeah, thats the one. Wheres my munny? Alex: Dont worry, we'll get ya your munny soon! Uremetsi: Hope so...So, where were you guys today? Sasuke: Well, we were chased through outer space by WDHDS forces sent out by none other than the World Demi-Human Alliance ring leader himself, Riku Williams. Uremetsi: Alex, your brother ever gonna give it up? Alex: Heh! Not likely! Sasuke: Yeah! Were the first Demis to do this, so its a big deal to him. Uremetsi: Sounds like he has a bit of a complex. Sasuke: Possibly, but he's still diligently chasing us. Uremetsi: Anything else interesting? Sasuke: Well, we got a new bounty head. Uremetsi: Really? Who ya gotta catch now? Sasuke: Not who, what! Its some sort of computer virus thats been hacking into Big Name Company A. Were supposed to get the virus from Company B, who is running it. Uremetsi: Whos Company B? Sasuke: The Kame Pharmaceutical company. We get to sneak in. *flatly* yey... Alex: Yeah!! We're gonna go totally Solid Snake on them! (Insert a pic of Solid). Alex walks off as Sasuke takes a drink of his beer. Thinks to himself: *Man, its been almost a year since we ran off from the WDHDS, but it seems longer. I wonder if Alex is ready for this kind of work...* Suddenly, Alex is yelling at a person with a pool cue broken over their head.* Alex: CHEATER!!! Don't think I didnt see that! Uremetsi: Hey! Don't knock out my customers! Sasuke: Look, its like this, at 23 hundred, we enter the place which, might I add, is covered in guards and get what we need and get the hell out! Uremetsi: Ahh, don't like the troops? Sasuke: Not the troops. It's the troops troops that bother me.... Uremetsi: Don't like guard dogs? Sasuke: I hate guard dogs.... (End Chapter one) .Chapter Two: Alex and Sasuke are sitting in their apartment(Lake View Apartments) and are gathering information and supplies. Alex: So, do we need any weapons? Sasuke: No, but we can bring our swords. We may find a need for them. Alex: I thought all we were doing was getting a disk and zip, were outta there. Easy .Sasuke: Not always that easy. Haven't you ever heard the saying be prepared? Alex: *shrugs* Meh, true. *Alex and Sasuke keep working on getting information on the Kame building. Sasuke is at a computer while Alex is just looking at his sword.* Alex: Hey, Sasuke? Sasuke: *Without looking up* Uh huh? Alex: Where did you get your sword. Sasuke looks up and looks back down. Sasuke: I'd really rather not go into it right now. Alex: Come on! Its not like we have anything better to talk about. Sasuke: *reluctantly* I got it from my wife. Alex: Oh, I see. Your late wife. What was her name again? Sasuke: Karen, and can we please drop the subject? Alex: Is that why you don't date any girls? Sasuke: Shut it. I dont want to talk about it. Alex: Right.... *A long silence starts, but is broken by Alex.* Alex: Aren't you even curious where mine came from? *Alex lifts his sword up as he says this.* Sasuke: Why this sudden interest? We've never had this conversation before. Alex: Exactly why I'm asking. Sasuke: The sword? Alex: Ahh...Well, my brother.... Sasuke: Ah yes, Riku. The self-righteous fool who runs the World Demi-Human Alliance and wishes death on all humans. Alex: Hey, that's my brother you're talking about! Sasuke: Sorry, but he's the reason we're in the situation we're in right now. Alex: True, and I really wont lie and say he has a good side that no one see's. 'Course, I dont really know him that well. I mean, I know I should, as he is my brother and all. But since he left me at the lab once we were tested on because we were Demis, he and I havent talked. But he did leave me this. (Cut this into many panels with pictures of Riku, and Alex speaking.)*Alex cuts air with the sword and stops for a minute.* Alex: Heh, but its okay. I think its better that I'm not with him. Sasuke: Why? Alex: Because of what he's doing to humans and Demis. Its not right. Sasuke: I'm not a hippie or anything, but no violence would be nice. Alex: Yeah, but we'll take care of that when it comes to us. *Sasuke looks at Alex with a bit of amazement that he could be that mature. Alex smiles lightly to break the mood and begins to speak again.* Alex: So, how long until we head out? Sasuke: We dont have to be there until 23 hours. So, that gives us about three and a half hours. Get ready, this one maybe a bit more than I had originally planned. (End Chapter two.) Chapter three: *Alex and Sasuke are outside of the Kame Pharmaceutical Company at the west side. Its dark out, so they are covered in shadows. Alex points his hand out and shoots out a camera with his Demi-Human power. He gives a yes sign and Sasuke nods back.* Sasuke: Okay, we split here. I'm going strait to the guard tower and disable all of the securities and the guard up there. Alex: Right, and I go in once the spotlight goes out and we meet up at the computer cooling room. Sasuke: Alright, go! *Alex goes over the buildings fence and Sasuke slinking towards a gate, where he enters, and climbs the guard tower. Then, while the unsuspecting guard sits in his chair, Sasuke, covered in shadows, knocks the guard in the back of his head, rendering him unconscious.* Saskue: Nighty-night... *Sasuke then precedes to turn off all of the video monitors and security systems in the building. Then, he turns off the spotlight, which is pointing at the front of the building. This is Alexs que and he runs into the building undetected. He then precedes his way up the stairs, as does Sasuke on the other side of the building(Switching pictures between them both going upward). Then, they both meet at a door on which Computer Coolage, Authorized personnel only! is written. Alex and Sasuke nod and enter. With mouths wide, they freak at what they see inside.* Alex: No way..... (End Chapter three) Chapter four: *We rejoin our heroes in the Kame building where they have just reached their destination so they can gather the virus and get the hell out! But, something has apparently stunned these two character. What could it be.....? Alex: You have GOT to be kidding me..... Sasuke: The great hacking program is.....a girl? *Picture of a confused girl of 16(Alex is 16 and Sasuke is an unknown age) sitting in front of a laptop computer and cords everywhere. She sits there, starring at Sasuke and Alex with them starring back.* Girl: Can I help you...? Alex: Huddle up! *quietly*What do we do now? Sasuke: I guess we take her and give her to our employers. Alex: Dude! They'll kill her or use her for their own whims... Sasuke: Not our problem. *In between sentences, the girl tries to say something, but gets cut off.* Alex: She's too cute to die young! Sasuke: I dont want to compromise our mission! Alex: Look, we just grab her. We get the munny if we give them the program and delete it from Kames database. They didnt say anything about someone running it. Sasuke: Fine. I'll grab her. You get the data on a disk and distroy that computer! Alex: Right! *Alex gives a thumbs up and Sasuke grabs the girl by the wrist and lifts her to her feet.* Sasuke: Lets rock! Girl: I don't think so! Just who do you think you are anyway? Alex: Dont worry, Cutie, we're the heroes! Girl: Yeah, but....hey! "She says "Hey!" as Sasuke picks her up and throws her over his shoulder. She begins to kick and scream.* Girl: Let me down! Let me down!!! Sasuke: I'm out! *But, just as Sasuke begins to leave, the alarms go off.* Alex: I thought you got the alarms!?! Sasuke: I did! Crap, I guess the guard woke up! Well, I'm out! Get the stuff and go! Alex: Roger! *Sasuke exits the door with the girl over his shoulder still. Alex goes over to the computer and begins to type. After awhile he sticks a disk in and copies the data needed. He then continues typing in an effort to delete the virus program, but gets frustrated. So, he stand up and blasts the computer with his powers. He smiles contently, but is interrupted buy guards outside the door.* Guard 1: Ma'am, are you alright? We got an alarm that someone broke in! *But, before the guard can say anything else, Alex kicks the door down and the door hits the first guard. Alex steps out, his trusty sword in hand(Altima) and waves at the guards in a Bring it way. The first guard comes at him with a night-stick in hand and swings it but Alex dodges and kicks the guard in the gut and hits him in the head with the butt of the sword. The next two in the squad come at him and both get cut by a slice from Alexs sword. He nods in victory but runs as more he hears more guards coming up. He begins to run but starts to hear distant barking getting closer.* Alex: Aww damn! I hate guard dogs! *Alex continues to run, constantly looking back to shoot an energy blast(He has sheathed his sword on his back by now) to slow the dogs and guards down. He gets to the stairs and stops because there are two squads of guards coming up the stairs.* Guard: Yes, Hes coming near us? Wha....There he is!!! Fire!!!Alex: Crud! *Alex stops and smiles before turning around and going to the fire exit and kicking that open and running down the stairs, dodging bullets all along the way. Finally, he reaches the bottom. He blasts open the door and exits the building with the disk in hand and jumps the fence and runs like hell holding the disk.* (End Chapter four) Chapter five: *Alex enters his room in his and Sasukes apartment where he finds the girl on the couch and Sasuke in front of her, arguing.* Girl: I dont care what youre getting paid for, I wan't an answer! Sasuke: Well....Alex! 'Bout time! Where were you? Alex: *tired*...Guards.....chase...dogs too. Sasuke: I see *sweatdrops*....well, did you get the data disk? *Alex raises up the disk. * Sasuke: Alright! As long as we have that, we get paid! What about the computer? Alex: Atomized. Sasuke: Good enough! Girl: My computer! Sasuke: Hey, were doing you a favor, lady! Girl: I dont see how and I have a name you know! *Alex gets a good look at her and runs over with googly-eyes and hearts over his head.* Alex: And what might that name be, M'lady? Sasuke: *Sweatdrops* Gemme a break.... Girl: *Taken back* ....Yuffie, if you must know. Alex: Ahh, Yuffie.. Sasuke: Well, now what do we do with her? *Alex smiles at who we now know as Yuffie and walks over to Sasuke.* Alex: Well, I was thinking.... Sasuke: Dont tell me.... Yuffie: I can hear you! (No one notices her) Alex: Can we keep her? Yuffie: *In background* I'm not a pet! Sasuke: Out of the question! Alex: Why? With this haul, well be set for a while! Sasuke: But what about after that while? Yuffie: What while? Alex: Hey, she can hack! She can help us on missions and jobs! Sasuke: Out of the question! Alex: She's not a Demi. Is that your problem? Sasuke: You know thats not it! It's just.... *They both look at her and turn away in a huddle.* Sasuke: She has no where else to go. Alex: Which is why she should stay! Sasuke: Fine.... *Sasuke turns around with the opposite of the face his just had(frown to large smile) and looks at Yuffie.* Sasuke: Welcome to our illustrious team of elite bounty hunters! Yuffie: Huh...? Sasuke: Working for us means free board and food as long as you help with missions and hack and do all that computer stuff that we can't! Yuffie: Not sure I follow..... Sasuke: Look, just help us and well help you. Okay? Yuffie: Oh? Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't listening. What were you saying? *Splash page Sasuke sweatdropping and a bit pissed, Alex sitting next to Yuffie with starry-eyes and Yuffie totally lost.* (End Chapter five.) Chapter six: *View outside of Morgans Bar. The scene inside is Sasuke, Alex and Yuffie sitting at the bar and Uremetsi standing behind it, looking quite content.* Uremetsi, while counting munny: Hey guys, everything I said about you before was a total lie! Sasuke: Yeah, at least until the next time our tab runs up... Uremetsi: Hey, Alex, you havent introduced me to your girlfriend. Alex: Ah yes, Uremetsi, this is Yuffie Suzamora. Yuffie, this is our pal and local Bar-keep, Uremetsi Mekari. Uremetsi: Pleasure. Yuffie: Girlfriend? *Yuffie looks over to Sasuke, as if for help, but Sasuke just shrugs. She sighs as Alex puts his arm around her.* Alex: I figured we'd go out to maybe a movie and get a bite to eat. Whadaya think? Yuffie: Uhh...Okay. But wait....When are you two BUMS gonna buy me a new computer for incinerating my last one!?! Sasuke: Dont look at me, it was Alexs idea to blow it to Kingdom-Come. Why dont you talk to your Boyfriend over there? *Alex sweatdrops as Yuffie turns towards him with an overly angered expression.* Yuffie: YOU did this! Alex: Uh oh....Little help here Sasuke? Sasuke: Oh, I think I've helped enough. *Yuffie begins to yell at Alex and beat him around in the background.* Yuffie: Before you take me to your date world, you're gonna take me to Gateway Country and buy me and new computer! And I mean NEW! I want the best processor. I want the best monitor. I want.... *While listing off what she wants, Alex is crying.* Alex: Da pain..... *Sasuke and Uremetsi laugh and look at each other after Sasuke takes a drink of his beer.* Uremetsi: He'll be fine. Sasuke: Yeah, He'll be fine. Uremetsi: But, what about.... *Uremetsi nods towards Alex and mummbles "Riku"* .Sasuke: Well, well just have to take care of it when it comes to us. Uremetsi: Sounds like a plan. (New panel) I just hope all that gets cleared up before you actually have to deal with it yourselves. Sasuke: I hope so too. But you never know. Uremetsi: Do you think he'll be able to do what he has to do? Sasuke: Dunno. That is his brother. *Alex is being dragged out by Yuffie while screaming...* Alex: Help! Help! Somebody!!!! Sasuke: But, I think he'll do what he knows is right. *Sasuke gets up and finishes his beer.* Sasuke: Now, if you'll excuse me... *Sasuke throws his sword over his shoulder heroically.* Sasuke: ...I gotta go get my partner. (End Chapter six.) (End Project one.) Project two: Chapter one: (A memory)A place with small children running around. It could be an orphanage, but that wouldnt be true. It was more of a place for kids with no where else to run for the time being. |
