Writer’s note: Well, its the second issue.  And, depending if we ever get this far with any publishing company, you may never read this.  Which, in turn, means I’m talking to myself.  Thats what I get for all-nighters with coffee.....Anyway, this is the second volume or issue or part or whatever you want to call it.  So far, we know the following characters and the info about them:  Sasuke Takahashi, age unknown, dead wife and has a sword from her.  Alex Williams, age: sixteen, upbeat and not like his bro....got a sword from him though. Yuffie Suzamora, age: sixteen, quiet computer nerd, Alex’s girlfriend(?), and the newest member of the protagonists.  Finally, we know of Riku Williams, age: unknown(most likely 18 through 21), hates humans, runs the WDHDS(World Demi-Human Defense Squad), wants all humans to die and wants Demi-humans to rule the Earth and the colonies.  Thats about it for now.  This project is more information that we need to give out.  We hope you enjoy it.  I know I enjoyed writing it.

The story so far: Alex Williams and Sasuke Takahashi are bounty hunters on the run from their ‘duties’ in the WDHDS(World Demi-Human Defense Squad).  They both have swords from people in their past and both are Demi-Humans.  But, after a mission that started as a simple snatch and run got turned into getting a new friend!  Now, we’ve added Yuffie Suzamora into the mix and things are sure to heat up!

But, what’s up with Alex’s estranged brother Riku, who runs the WDHDS and wants death to all humans(that includes Yuffie!)?  Will we find out more about this Demi-human?  Why did he leave his brother?  Perhaps we’ll find out someday....

Book one:
Chapter one: Opened Wounds:
*View of a empty room with a desk with nothing on it but a plaque that says ‘Riku Williams’.  Suddenly, the door bursts open with about six people gathered around a young man of eighteen.(Note:  These can be written in one big panel or many with Riku always in the center.)*

Woman 1: “Sir, the President of the United states wishes to counsel with you to talk with Demi-Human citizens in the US.”

Man 1: “Mr. Williams, the media wants a comment on the turning down of a Demi-Human
for Parliament in Great Britain.”

Man 2: “Sir?  Will you sign these contracts?”

*Riku sits down without answering any of these questions.*

Riku: “Jennifer!”
*A woman steps out of the crowd and moves to the front of Riku’s desk.*

Jennifer: “Yes sir?”

Riku: “Remove these people from my office!”

Jennifer: “At once, sir.  Alright, everyone out!!!”
*Jennifer moves everyone out of the room and closes the door.*
Riku: “Thank you very much.”

*Jennifer, having rarely been thanked, blushes*

Jennifer: “You’re...welcome, sir.”

*Jennifer sits down in a chair in front of Riku’s desk and pulls out a laptop of her piles of books and papers.  She opens it and readies herself to type.*

Riku: “Give a message to the UN saying that we will no longer stand for their insolence.”

*Jennifer types this.*

Jennifer: “Anything else, sir?”

Riku: “Yes.....”

*Riku passes Jennifer a folder and she opens it and looks in it.*

Riku: “Tell them that what you see before you is now our business.”

Jennifer: “Yes sir.  Are you going to the UN meeting then?”

Riku: “No, they ignore me.  I hate being ignored.  Give them the message I dictated.”

Jennifer: “Right, cancelled and sent.”

*Riku smiles and folds his hand on his desk.*

Riku: “Well, the day has started.  I guess we should get going.”

*Riku gets up and walks over to the door of his office and opens it and waves his hand in a gesture of ‘after you’.*

Riku: “Shall we then?”

(End Chapter one.)

Chapter two: Soul Power:
*Riku and Jennifer are walking through what is apparently the World Demi-Human Alliance headquarters(Sort of a UN).  Jennifer says all of this while looking though a personal organizer, Riku’s, to be exact.*

Jennifer: “...then its off to a meeting with a specialist you’ve called in, I believe.”

Riku: “That’s correct, Jennifer.  I’ve called in someone who can help us on our way to victory.”

Jennifer: “Who and how, if I may ask?”

Riku: “A man learned in the ways of mystical powers and artifacts and that will be revealed later.”

Jennifer: “Yes sir.”

*Riku and Jennifer continue walking and we cut to Riku sitting in a darker room with a man of about 60.*

Riku: “Well, what did you find?”

Old man: “It appears that all the legends point to it being true.”

Riku: “So, it is possible....”

Old Man: “They say it manifests itself into a weapon or item of use.”

Riku: “Really?”

Old Man: “And, it always has an orb somewhere in the item.”

Riku: “How does one do this?”

Old Man: “An inseparable bond has to exist between two Demi-Humans and it is created
from pure energy.”

Riku: “So, thats how she did it...”

Old Man: “Yes, and the energy it is created from is unbreakable.  Completely indestructible to be precise.”

Riku: “And the orb?”


Old Man: “Contains the purest energy and brings out the items true power.”

Riku: “I see.  Can anyone bring out that pure energy?”

Old Man: “No, only one of the two Demis it was made from can do that.”

Riku: “I understand.  Your help is appreciated.  You’re helping a good cause.”

Old Man: “I’m not helping any cause, I am doing what I do.  Nothing more.”

Riku: “Very well.  You may leave now.”

*The Old Man leaves but Riku stays in his chair in a thoughtful position.*

Riku’s thoughts: “This sword.....did she do this?”

*We cut back to Riku in his office.  The sun is down and its night time.*  

Jennifer: “Are we all finished here, sir?”

Riku: “Yes Jennifer.  You may go home now, if you like.”

*Jennifer begins towards the door, but stops.*

Jennifer: “Sir, umm....when do you go home?”

*Riku turns around in his chair to face Jennifer.*

Riku: “Hmm?”

Jennifer: “Well, its just that I’m always the last person to leave and you’re always here.”

Riku: “Well, I have things to do.  Sleep is overrated.”

Jennifer: “Don’t you get tired?”

Riku: “As a Demi-Human with regenerative powers, I don’t need to sleep much.”

Jennifer: “Oh, I see.  Well, good night.”

Riku: “Good night, Jennifer.”

*Riku turns back around in his chair as Jennifer leaves the office.  He hangs his head in thought.*

Riku: “Sleep.....”
(End Chapter two.)

Chapter three: Lonely In the Night
*Jennifer Lauren walking down the street while it rains in Okinawa, Japan.  She is carrying many books in one arm and an umbrella in the other.  She drops her books, but a man stops and helps her pick them up.*

Jennifer: “Thank you....”

*But she trails off as she looks up and finds out that the man that helped her was a human.  
At this sight, she turns up her nose and says.*

Jennifer: “Infidel!”

*And storms off, leaving the man confused.*

Jennifer (In thought boxes): “Riku told me that all humans are bad and want to hurt me.  
But....That man was so helpful.  I just don’t know...”

*She stops at a boring and simple house and enters it.  This simple house is her home.  She walks in, takes off her shoes and turns on the lights in the living room.  She sets her books at a table and sits down.  She picks up a picture of Her and Riku and looks at it.  She sets it down and sighs.  She leans back and looks at her ceiling.*

Jennifer: “I know Riku wouldn’t lie to me.  But, he seems so interested in the suffering of humans.  But, he did tell me that it wasn’t their suffering, it was our pleasure he was
working towards.  I just can’t remember......”

*Flashback to Riku and Jennifer in his office.  Riku is standing and pacing while Jennifer is sitting and listening.*

Riku: “You see, Demi-Humans have been tested on by humans.”

Jennifer: “That’s horrible!”

Riku: “Yes, it is.  But, there is something we can do about it!”

Jennifer: “What?”

Riku: “Kill all those who wish pain upon us.”

Jennifer, worried and taken back: “Isn’t there any other way, sir?”


Riku: “No, its time to repay them for their evil.”

Jennifer: “I understand, sir.”

*Flash to Jennifer back in her house.  She is sitting on her couch still.*
Jennifer: “I don’t want them to die...”

*She looks at the picture of the two of them again.*

Jennifer: “But, I don’t want to go back....I won’t.”

*She stands up and grabs her books.*

Jennifer: “Death....to those who wish harm upon Demi-Humans!”

Project two:
Chapter one: Riots In the Dark
*Inside Morgan’s bar, Sasuke, Alex and Yuffie sit drinking.*

Uremetsi: “Might want to watch the news, guys.”

Sasuke: “Whats up?”

*They turn towards the Television and listen.  A man is sitting on the news and reports.
Newsman: “Ladies and Gentlemen, as we have reported earlier, the leader of the Demi-Humans, Riku Williams, has declared a non-pact between the Demi-Humans and the UN.  This comes as a big shock and the UN is debating what action to take next.”
Sasuke and Uremetsi look at each other.*

Sasuke: “This won’t end well...”

Alex: “Wonder why he did that.”

Sasuke: “He’s psyching out the UN.  And its working.”

*Yuffie is typing at her laptop while Sasuke and Alex talk in the background.*

Yuffie: “Hey guys, check it out!  It says here that one, Riku Williams, wants nothing to do with Humans any more.”

Sasuke: “He wants death, but can’t have it this second...”


Yuffie: “Wait, death to all humans!?!”

Sasuke: “Yup, and he’s got the power to do it.”

Yuffie: “Wait...Riku Williams....Alex, is he your father!?!”

Alex: “Brother, actually.”

Yuffie: “So why don’t you go talk to him?”

Alex: “He and I haven’t spoken in years.  Plus, he wouldn’t listen to me anyway.”

Yuffie: “Alex...”

Sasuke: *to Yuffie* “Don’t worry about it.  Just, avoid bringing it up.”

Yuffie: “Gotcha.”

Uremetsi: “So, got a game plan for this one?”

Sasuke: “No time.  Got a mission.  Besides, these sort of things work themselves out.”

Uremetsi: “God I hope you’re right.  Whats the bounty?”

Sasuke: “A kid by the name of Marco Tovar.”

*Sasuke shows a picture of the kid.*

Sasuke: “He’s been messing up the transmissions from Earth to Colony A.”

Alex: “Is he on Earth or in space?”

Sasuke: “Thats where our new friend Yuffie comes in.”

*Yuffie looks over from her computer at Sasuke.*


Sasuke: “I need you to view those transmissions and see where they messing up.”

Yuffie: “On it!”

*Yuffie begins to type while Alex and Sasuke sit down and have a drink.*



Alex: “Told ya she’d come in handy.”

Sasuke: “Quiet!”

*Yuffie types a bit more and raises her hand in victory.*


Yuffie: “Found it!  Yup, the kid is on Earth.  Thats where the transmissions stopped.”

*Yuffie points at a map on her computer, which points to Southern California, USA.*


Sasuke: “Good job, Yuffie.  Now, get a background check on Marco.”

Yuffie: “Way ahead of you, boss!  Already got it up!”

*Sasuke and Alex walk over to her computer and look at it.*


Alex: “See?  Told ya my girl was on the know!”

*Sasuke studies the information and looks up.*

Sasuke: “Looks like he lives in the USA.  Alex, take Yuffie and go get the ships.”

Alex: “Done!”

*Alex grabs Yuffie by the hand and run out the door.  Sasuke chugs the rest of his beer and whipes his mouth.*


Sasuke: “This one could get ugly.”

Uremetsi: “How?  I thought you said it was just a kid.”

Sasuke: “He is, the kid’s only nine.  But, I don’t know how Yuffie is in the field...”

Uremetsi: “Don’t worry.  She’ll do fine...I think.”

*Sasuke gives Uremetsi a thumbs up before running out the door.  Uremetsi stops and watches the TV as a new report comes in.*

Newsman: “This just in, a spokesman from the Demi-Humans has just told reporters that their first act against the UN is supporting the blocking of the transmissions from the UN to space colony A and full protection of the person doing so.”

*A picture of Jennifer Lauren shows up on the screen as they speak of the spokesman from the Demi-Humans.*

Chapter two: A Battle For a Bounty
*Sasuke is in his ship, already in the skies.  He grabs a receiver and begins to speak.*

Sasuke: “Alex, you out there?”

Alex answers.

Alex: “Yeah, I’m here.  Yuffie too.”

Sasuke: “Where are you guys?”

Alex: “We’re over the ocean.  We still have about a half and hour until we reach the shores of California.”

Sasuke: “Sounds like I’m right behind ya.”

*Sasuke and Alex continue to fly.*

Sasuke: “Any new info on him?”

Alex: “Yuffie hasn’t reported anything.  But, it also doesn’t help that she can’t wardog a signal out here over the ocean.”  (Note: word boxes can be communication speeches.)

Sasuke: “Well, have her check up on it as soon as you can.”

Alex: “Roger.”  (Note: Sasuke has an old-fashion looking receiver while Alex is wearing a headset to communicate.)

Alex, after flying for a while: “We’re coming up on America.”

Sasuke: “Right.  Go on ahead to the target, I’ll meet you guys there.”

Alex: “Roger.”

*Alex turns on his thrusters and heads towards the Earth.  Sasuke continues his journey towards the shores.  Alex lands the ship and gets out.*

Alex: “Any new information?”

Yuffie: “Dunno.  The signal’s jammed.  Must be because of the blocking technology.”

Alex: “Okay...can you at least tell me why a young kid like that knows so much about computers?”

Yuffie: “He may be a genius.  Either that, or he has help.”

Alex: “Hmm.  Is this the building?”

*Alex asks while looking up at a former business building that stands about 20 stories tall.*

Yuffie: “Yup. this is the place.”

Alex: “Alright, I’m heading in.”

Yuffie: “Hold it!  Aren’t you going to wait for Sasuke?”

Alex: “Theres no telling how far behind he is.  When he gets here, send him up.”

Yuffie: “...Right.”

*Alex smiles and runs into the building while Yuffie sits in front of her computer in a worried state.  She sighs, and begins to type at her computer to try and find a signal to run on.*

*Switch pictures of Sasuke flying towards land and Alex looking around the building with sword drawn.  Then, switch to a picture of Yuffie reading something on her computer and running to the ship and grabbing the headset.*

Yuffie: “Breaker!  Sasuke!  Can you hear me?”

Sasuke: “Yeah.  Yuffie, what’s wrong!?!”

Yuffie: “Alex’s in trouble!  He went in to find the kid, but the whole building and the kid are under the protection of the World Demi-Human Alliance.”

Sasuke: “WHAT?”

*Move to a picture of Alex still looking through the building.  But, he stops because he sees a room all lit up and finds it full of running computer monitors and a kid sitting in front of them typing.  Alex slowly moves towards the kid and the kid turns around.*

Alex: “Marco Tovar, I presume?”

*Switch to a picture of Sasuke landing and getting out of his ship.  He runs over to Yuffie.*

Sasuke: “Whats the situation?”

Yuffie: “I don’t know.  My signals are jumbled due to the interference.”

Sasuke: “Right.  I’m going in.  Stay out here.”

*Sasuke draws his sword and runs in at full pace.  Show pictures of Sasuke running up the stairs.  Then, cut to a picture of Alex and the ground holding his arm.*

Alex: “Ugh....”

Woman: “I’m sorry, I can’t allow you take this boy.”

*Show the boy dropping the keyboard and running behind a pillar.*

Woman: “You see, this boy is doing us a favor.”

Alex: “He’s jamming signals to the colonies.  How does that help you?”

Woman: “He’s blocking communication for further building.  Preventing progress is enough to get our point across.”

Alex: “So, you’re part of an organization?”

Woman: “Something like that.  An organization that you’re part of.”

Alex: “What?”

*The girl walks out of the shadows, revealing that she is Jennifer Lauren.*

Jennifer: “You see, Human progress is all we wish to stop.  Digression is our goal.”

Alex: “And do your superiors really think that’ll happen?”

Jennifer: “Yes, and I only answer to one man, the greatest Demi-Human on Earth.”

*Jennifer grabs the boy and walks out while Alex struggles to get up.  Suddenly, Sasuke kicks down the door.*

Sasuke: “Alex!”

*Sasuke sees that Alex is hurt and bleeding.*

Sasuke: “Jesus Alex!  You couldn’t wait?”

Alex: “It was....The Demi-Humans.”

Sasuke: “I know, Yuffie told me.  We were set up.”

Alex: “No, they weren’t expecting us.  They wanted to make examples of Humans.”

*Sasuke helps Alex up and helps him walk.*

Alex: “Well, we didn’t get our bounty.”

Sasuke: “Not today, anyway.”

*Sasuke and Alex reach their ships finally and Yuffie sees that Sasuke is helping Alex and runs over to him.*

Yuffie: “Alex!  Are you alright?”

*She pulls up the sleeve that is covered in blood but finds that its already healing.  She looks confused.*

Sasuke: “Quick healing.  Its one of the joys of being a Demi.”

*Sasuke and Yuffie helped Alex to his ship and set him down.*

Sasuke: “Can you fly this thing(referring to Alex’s ship)?”

Yuffie: “Yeah, I’ll be okay.  Besides, Alex can help.”

Sasuke: “Right.  Okay guys, time to head home.”

*Sasuke and Yuffie get into their respected ships and take off.*

Sakuke, talking over his receiver to Yuffie: “Alright, just follow my lead.”

Yuffie: “Gotcha.”

*They take off into the skies, leaving the building.

*   *   *   *
*Switch to a room with Jennifer standing in front of a desk with Marco next to her.  Riku is sitting behind the desk with his hands in a folded position(imagine Gendo Ikari from Eva).*

Jennifer: “Yes sir, not one group of US soldiers showed up.  They must have put a bounty on Marco’s head.”

Riku: “That would explain why my brother and Sasuke showed up.  Did you finish Alex?”

Jennifer: “No sir.  I wasn’t aware I was to kill him.”

Riku: “You weren’t.  In fact, I’d rather you didn’t.”

Jennifer: “Why, sir?”

Riku: “Because a Demi killing a Demi isn’t justified.”

Jennifer: “Yes sir.  What would you like me to do with the boy?”

Riku: “Take him somewhere he can stay.  We can use him later.”

Jennifer: “Yes sir.  Come along.”

Jennifer leads Marco out right after Marco looks at Riku and Riku smiles.
Riku: *with a grin* “This is only the beginning....”
(End Chapter two.)

Chapter three: Fated Omens
*Sasuke, Alex and Yuffie are sitting in the apartment.  Sasuke is reading a book with Yuffie at her computer.  Alex walks into the room.*

Alex: “Well, I’m all healed up!”

Yuffie: “Already?  Its only been about four hours.”

Alex: “Great stuff, huh?”

Sasuke: “Try and be a bit more careful next time, huh?”

Alex: “Gotcha!  But, I wonder...”

Sasuke: “Whats up, Alex?”

Alex: “I wonder who that girl was.”


Sasuke: “You mean the one that attacked you?”

Alex: “Yeah, she said that she only answered to one person, ‘the greatest Demi-Human on
Earth’ as she called him.  I can only assume she meant Riku.”

Sasuke: “Hmm, Riku’s right hand man then.”

Alex: “I wasn’t aware he had one.”

Yuffie: “Got ya!”

Alex: “What did you find, Yuffie?”

Yuffie: “The girl that attacked you!  Her name is Jennifer Lauren.  She’s the only possible candidate.”

Alex: “Does she work for the World Demi-Human Alliance?”

Yuffie: “Yup, says here that she’s the personal assistant to Riku Williams.”

Sasuke: “Any more information?”

Yuffie: “Yes: she’s black belt in many martial arts, incredibly strong, and has perfect loyalty to the World Demi-Human Alliance.”

Sasuke: “And obviously a talented swordsman.”

Alex: *upset that he got beat* “The only reason she got me was because she snuck up on me.”

Sasuke: “Sneaking or not, she got you.  I guess if Riku is out for Human blood, he’s got the people to do it.”

Yuffie: “Well, it says here(looking at her computer screen) that the World Demi-Human
Alliance has retracted their comments against the UN.”

Alex: “I guess now really isn’t the time for Riku to fulfill his plans.”

Sasuke: “Guess we can just take it easy for the time being then.”

Yuffie: “Hey, I’ve been wondering, why do you guys think its your business to stop him?”

Sasuke: “Simple, because we’re the only ones who will.”

*Yuffie looks a bit worried and sweatdrops.*

Yuffie: “....uh huh.  Okay.”

Alex: “Hey, don’t worry about it.”

*Alex slides up next to Yuffie really quick and puts his arm around her.*

Alex: “We won’t let Riku get you.”

*Sasuke and Yuffie sweatdrop.*

Sasuke: “I suppose...Well, we didn’t get our bounty head.”

Alex: “No, but at least we stopped the jamming signals for a while.”

Yuffie: “And thats the important part!”

Sasuke: “The ONLY important part?  Am I the only one who realizes the importance of munny?”

Alex: “Bah!  Who needs munny?”

Sasuke: “Well we do!  Things like gas for our ships, repair payments, food, bills and about a dozen other things.”

*Sasuke is yelling at this point.  Yuffie and Alex are scared.*

Alex: “Scary...”

Yuffie: “Uh huh....”

Project three:
Chapter One: A Date With Fate
*Sasuke is sitting on his couch when Alex walks in, looking quite well dressed.*

Sasuke: “Well, don’t we look quite the smashing figure.  Hot date?”

Alex: “Something like that.  Yuffie and I are going on our first date!”

Sasuke: “Awesome, where is that girl anyway?”

Alex: “Over in her apartment getting ready.  I can’t wait!”

Sasuke: “Well, take it easy man, okay?”

Alex: “Hey, I’m as cool as they come.”

*There’s a knock at the door.*

Sasuke: “Come in!”

Yuffie walks in looking very nice in some sort of beautiful dress(draw it however you like, I don’t care).  Alex and Sasuke’s chins basically hit the floor.

Sasuke: “Lookin’ good!”

Yuffie: “Thanks!  Alex, ready to go?”

*Alex Mearly stutters as Yuffie grabs his arm and begins to walk him out the door.*

Yuffie: “See ya later Sasuke!”

Sasuke: “Have fun you two kids!”

*Sasuke sits back and sighs.*

Sasuke: “To be young and in love....”

*Sasuke then looks over at his sword, but immediately looks away and back to his paper.*

*****
*Show pics of Alex sitting at a restaurant blushing, the same at a movie and at an ice cream shop.  Finally, have a pic of Alex and Yuffie sitting on a park bench, Alex still blushing.*
  
Yuffie: “Alex, you okay?  You’ve barely spoken this evening.”

Alex: “err....umm...I....ehh...”

Yuffie: “Could you please at least form cognitive sentences?”

Alex: “I’m.....just really REALLY nervous is all....”

Yuffie(Stifling a laugh): “You?  The Great Alex, nervous about ANYTHING?  Let alone a date with me?!?  HAHAHA!”

Alex: “Laugh it up....”

Yuffie: “No no, its just.....I never imagined that anyone would be nervous about me.”

Alex: “Well....I really like you...and I want to impress you.”

Yuffie: “Aww, you don’t have to impress me.  Besides, I had a really great time tonight.”

Alex: “Really?”

Yuffie: “Really.”

*Alex and Yuffie begin to close in for a kiss with Alex blushing bright red when....*

Girl from the side: “Yuffie?  Yuffie Suzamora?  Is that you!?!”

*Yuffie pulls away from the kiss as Alex falls forward and releases and huge smile.*

Yuffie: “Mitsume!  Omagod, its been forever!  How are you?”

Mitsume: “Great, just moved to Japan.  How are you?  How did that job with that pharmaceutical company go?”

Yuffie: “It was going great until I found out I was illegally hacking for them...”

Mitsume: “Ahh, sorry!”

Yuffie: “Its alright.”

Mitsume: “Oh, I’m sorry!  Am I interrupting something?  Aren’t you gonna introduce me to your guy friend over there?”

*Yuffie pulls a rubbery Alex from the ground.*

Alex(weakly): “Was that a kiss?”

Yuffie: “Alex, this is Mitsume, my childhood friend.  Mits, this is Alex.  I live with him and his partner in bounty hunting.”

Mitsume: “Oh, I see*winks*.  You live together....”

*Yuffie blushes and drops Alex.*

Yuffie: “No!  It’s nothing like that!  Well...it’s something like that.  They own an apartment building and I live there!”


Mitsume: “Oh, okay.  So, that makes this one single huh....”

Yuffie: “Hands off girl, he’s mine....sort of.”

Mitsume: “Gotcha.”

Yuffie: “Hey, you wanna catch a ride back to our place?”

Mitsume: “Sure!  Awesome!”

*Yuffie and Mitsume begin to run off and Yuffie calls back to Alex, still on the ground.*

Yuffie: “C’mon Alex!”

Alex: “You hear that?  I’m hers....”

Chapter two: Deep Secrets From a Dark Past
*Yuffie, Mitsume, and Alex all walk into Alex’s apartment talking amongst themselves.  Sasuke is in the kitchen and pokes his head out.*

Sasuke: “Yo”

*He puts his head back in, only to take it out a panel later.*

Sasuke: “Wait...don’t recognize that one(Pointing at Mitsume).”

Yuffie: “Oh yeah!  Sasuke, this is Mitsume, an old friend of mine who just moved to
Japan.  Mistume, this is Sasuke, Alex’s best friend and partner, and owner and proprietor of these apartments.”

Mitsume: “Hello.”

Sasuke: “Nice to meet you.”

*Sasuke pulls his head back into the kitchen and calls...*

Sasuke: “Alex. Kitchen. Now!”

*Alex bows and jogs to the kitchen.  Sasuke is standing in front of the refrigerator frowning.*


Sasuke: “Don’t tell me you have another cute girl you want me to take in...”

Alex: “No...Not exactly.  We could rent out an apartment to her!”

Sasuke: “She’s new to Japan, do you think she has a job, let alone munny?”

Alex: “No...Look, we’ll hammer out the details when we get to them, okay?  And at the very least, let her spend the night with Yuffie.”

Sasuke: “Well, I’m not going to throw her out...”

*Sasuke and Alex sigh a big sigh and wonder back into the living room where Yuffie and Mitsume are on the couch talking amongst themselves.*

Yuffie: “Alex!  Just in time.  I was just about to tell Mitsume the story of ‘Yuffie: A girl rescued and given a new computer’.”

Alex: “Lucky me....”

*Sasuke laughs and sits across from them in a chair.  He smiles lightly and slowly nods off.  Enter a dream sequence.  Sasuke is floating in complete whiteness until he is blinded by a great light.  A voice comes from the light.*

*Sasuke*

Sasuke: “Huh?”

A form of a woman become distinct amongst the light.  But, only an outline.

*Sasuke....*

Sasuke: “Karen....?”

*Sasuke, you have to stop him or more innocent people will die.*

Sasuke: “Stop who?”

*Sasuke, you and Alex must stop him from tearing the world apart and killing so many.*

Sasuke: “Who, my love, who?”

*Alex’s brother, you must stop him.  Please, for the love of peace, stop Riku!

The form of Karen begins to fade away.

*And Sasuke, stop being such as hard ass!  Alex is a good kid....Good-bye, my love.*

Sasuke: “Karen, don’t leave me...KAREN!”

*The last word is spoken out loud as Sasuke wakes up in a dark and empty living room, sweating and panting and slightly tearing up.  He looks over at his sword(Insert name here:Drakenlinge), which is glowing.*

Chapter Three: The Why and How
*Sasuke wakes up sweating.*

Word Boxes: *Another dream?  Why am I dreaming about it again?  Why do I keep seeing her face coiled in death?*

*Sasuke gets up and looks and sees Alex asleep.  He walks into what would be his living room and sits in a chair.  He closes his eyes and sighs.*  

Word Boxes: *It’s been awhile since I’ve gone to see you. But I promise I will soon.  However, I know I’ll see him when I do.  And thats when I’ll have to end it all.  I’m so sorry, Karen.*

Sasuke drifts back to sleep in his chair.

*Its’s morning now and Alex, Sasuke, Yuffie, and Mitsune are walking into Morgan’s bar.  Uremetsi waves at them and they sit down at a table.  Alex puts his arm around Yuffie and grins largely while Sasuke and Mistune talk amongst themselves.*

Sasuke: “Alright, this is how it’s gonna go: You will be the proprietor of the Lake View Apartments and do as such the job calls for.  Follow me?*She nods* For doing so, you will be paid and have free room and board at the apartments.  Cool?”

Mistune:  “Oh thank you Mr. Takahashi!  I won’t let you down!”

*Sasuke smiles and waves her off.  Mitsune and Yuffie get up and walk away(assuming bathroom).*

Alex: “You, what do you make of all this?”

Sasuke: “Well, I’m not gonna be the one to send her away with no where to go, Ya know?  Besides, we could use the extra help around the apartments.”

*Wordless picture-boxes of Yuffie and Mitsune returning and them sitting down happily.*

Riku: “You’re late.”

*Across from Riku stands a very animalistic Demi-huaman.  A female of about 6’ and very muscally.  Her face is in shadows.*

Necross: “I’m sorry, my plane was delayed.”

Riku: “Will you help me?”

Necross: “Of course I will.  Thats why I came all the way out here.”

Riku: “Good, good.  Tell me, what do you make of the human race, my Demi sister?”

*This faceless Demi-human destroys the table in front of her, leaving nothing but shards.*

Riku: “Just the answer I was looking for.  Rejoice, my sister, for tomorrow we begin our conquest.”

Alex’s Final Thoughts:
Alex: “Now that we have a good idea of our characters, lets do a little review, shall we?”

*Its time for ALEX-CHAN CHECK!*

Sasuke:  “I don’t think so.  I think Clamp’s gonna sue somebody!”

Alex: “Well, what about a sketch issue of nothing but sketches of us and behind-the-scenes info?”

Sasuke: “I doubt.”

Alex: “O....kay, well, what are we left with?”

Sasuke:”If you read the next issue, you’ll learn all you’ll need to learn!”

Alex, in a dramatic voice: “Will Misune take good care of my apartment?  Who is this mysterious chick working for Riku?  Whats up with the old guy in book one?  And will Alex ever get a kiss?  All these questions and more, in the next issue of The Twin Souls Project!”

Sasuke: “Must we......?”
